SAM Bid Simulator

Marinade · Select validators

Pick your validator to see, from your own on-chain history, what participating in the Stake Auction Marketplace would cost or earn — the bid at which you break even, whether it wins in the live auction, and how much stake it could bring.

Three ways in — same auction, different economics

The auction ranks every setup at network-average reward rates, while settlements charge your actual rewards — a cash bid and a commission commitment can rank the same and still cost differently. “Your net” is the marginal result on SAM stake only; your existing stake and on-chain commission settings are untouched.

Methodology, assumptions & fine print

Data. Your per-epoch inflation, MEV, and block rewards come from on-chain indexed history (Trillium), divided by your activated stake. All historical epochs are normalized to the current epoch duration ( days — Solana’s slot time recently dropped to ~300 ms, so raw per-epoch numbers from older epochs are not directly comparable). Auction state comes from the live ds-sam pipeline run shown in the header; bonds from the Validator Bonds API.

Subsidies. Where shown, the Jito BAM boost is taken from indexed on-chain payouts and was still active as of epoch . Subsidy programs are third-party and can change — treat them as current observations, not guarantees.

Winning. The auction ranks your committed rev-share (totalPmpe) priced at network-average reward rates; you win stake while it is at or above the clearing level. Today the clearing sits exactly at the 0/0/0 baseline, which is also the eligibility floor — it cannot go lower, and rises as more validators compete.

Costs. Bond settlements charge your actual rewards: committing a commission below your on-chain setting refunds the difference on your actual earnings for the Marinade-delegated stake; a cash bid (CPMPE) is charged as committed. Your on-chain commission settings and all non-Marinade stake are unaffected.

Bond estimate. Required bond ≈ (on-chain-distributed PMPE + (1 + ) × effective bid PMPE) / 1000 × stake, floored at SOL — the ds-sam ideal-bond sizing. Treat it as an estimate; the auction recomputes it every epoch.

Not included. Vote costs (fixed per validator, unchanged by extra stake), block-reward variance beyond the shown percentiles, and future clearing-price movement. Auction state changes every ~1.5 days. This page is an estimate to structure a conversation, not financial advice or a quote. Questions, or want a hand with the setup: contact the Marinade team.
